Are there templates I can download somewhere to get me started? Sorry if I'm ignoring the obvious. I guess my general inquiry is if this is a pain in the ass or fairly intuitive. There are templates for LIVE 5, Tracktion 2, Cubase SX. 2 nice guys from the Ableton Live community. I read that the BCR2000 can *learn* sysex. I downloaded an editor and I'm stuck at work so I can't use all of this in practice. With it’s LED ringed encoders that offer Bi-Directional. With the Ableton PUSH cornering the market for buttons there’s strong competition for the race for the ultimate set of dials. Can you select a knob to control Filter Cutoff (for example) for all 4 Tones? Or do you have to address each one separately? Or do you have to put the 1080 in edit mode and select all 4 tones before you do a filter sweep for all 4 Tones? Obviously this would apply to any parameter that I would want to control on my 1080 as well. The Behringer BCR2000 has been a popular controller for what seems like an age, as yet though it seemed clunky when used with Ableton Live as opposed to supported controllers like the APC40.

I primarily want set it up to address my Roland JV-1080. I want to start using it with a few of my hardware peices and wanted to get a little advice from anyone who might have done this. I've had my BCR2000 for quite some time and have used it alot in my softsynth/DAW world with no problems.
